FOUNdER
Women at Work LLC (“WAW”) was founded in 2021 by Sosena’s inspiration, quest and desire to infuse her unique stylistic approach towards creating exciting and refreshing designs for those who want to age in their own communities. She has worked in various capacities in the housing industry and healthcare settings such as Hospitals, Acute Rehab Centers, Assisted Living Facilities and the Home Health Industry. Sosena is also a Certified Aging in Place Specialist where she advises contractor and architect teams in overseeing home modifications that simultaneously meet the strictest zoning and code requirements, and the needs of her clients who desire to age in their own communities.

Sosena has been involved in the healthcare and housing industry for over 20 years, resulting in a strong desire to lead WAW to new heights and be at the forefront of developing assisted living facilities in the nation’s capital. Sosena has worked with a diverse group of patients across the city giving her a unique perspective to understanding the challenges and needs of the various communities that make up our city.
Sosena’s main approach to development is to place a strong focus on healthcare as a fundamental ingredient to housing, resulting in healthier living outcomes for all. She views aging as a part of the continuum of life and feels that it should be as exciting and adventurous as any other phase of life with no slowing down in sight!
A graduate of Temple University, Sosena has spent the last 20 years scaling the ranks within the healthcare industry, while distinguishing herself as a forward thinker, charismatic visionary and an excellent communicator. In addition, Sosena spearheads many charity events as well as community outreach efforts. She loves to travel and learn about different cultures and spend time with close friends and family.
